At the helm of Damien on Fisher restaurant and Hudson’s Cafe is owner Damien Hein whose dream of becoming a chef was ignited by a poster of a chef in the careers office at his school. Damien did two weeks work experience at the Hackney Hotel and loved it.
He completed a 4-year apprenticeship at St Paul’s Function Complex where he was exposed to a wide variety of functions and weddings. He also worked at Haven in Glenelg, the Allan Group and by age 24, he owned his first restaurant, “Gourmands of Adelaide” in Magill Road.

One of the most appreciated facilities at Living Choice Fullarton is the restaurant and cafe, “Damien on Fisher” incorporating Hudsons Coffee. Opening in early March 2015, the restaurant has been receiving high praise, including being a finalist in the Restaurant & Catering SA Awards for Excellence 2015 and top rating reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is licensed and open lunch and dinner 7 days, excluding public holidays.
